VOLUNTEERS VERY WELCOME

Members are very welcome to get involved in any part of the running of the museum. This may include a bit of manual work such as pushing a 1913 Leyland double-decker around the compound - as illustrated below.

You do not have to know anything about vehicle restoration. Whatever skills you have, chances are you can help us. You will probably have some new experiences and maybe learn some new skills too. Volunteering with us will also allow you to channel your enthusiasm for classic and vintage vehicles and Oxfordshire’s transport heritage with like minded people, who share that passion.

If vehicle restoration and maintenance are your interest then we welcome new volunteers for the workshop, where we need mechanical, body-shop and woodworking skills. Painters are also greatly appreciated. Yes, we have got a lot of metal that needs priming, undercoating and painting to give our exhibits that showroom finish.

Meeting people and educating future generations about transport in a bygone era is a key objective of ours. If you are more of a ‘front-of-house’ kind of person we always have a need for people to work in our shop and Café.

With six buildings on site we also welcome people who have experience of property maintenance, cleaning, and people with ‘green-fingers’ are welcome to look after the grounds.

Even washing and cleaning vehicles is a great help - and loads of fun.

We're a small, friendly team and appreciate new helpers !
